Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships have never been the norm in the security industry but it is time for this to change.

The UEE 30411 - Certificate III in Data and Voice is the ideal qualification for new entrants wishing to start an apprenticeship or for experienced technicians who want to upskill to take advantage of new and emerging technologies in the Telecommunications or Electronic Security industries.

The program is comprised of a number of short courses spread out over a period of two years incorporating in class face to face training on line content and on the job training.

Their is no age limit applicable to this qualification

The course includes the following:

1. Basic Electronics
2. OH&S
3. Open Cabling Registration
4. Combined endorsement
5. Design and construct IP Networks
6. Intruder Alarm Systems
7. CCTV Systems
8. Design and construct a wireless network

Cost

The cost of this qualification is $5600.00

This qualification attracts generous Commonwealth Government subsidies for training

Incentives to the employer include:

$4000.00 payable towards the training
$4000.00 if the trainee is over 25
$1000.00 if the trainee works in a rural location

As an added incentive payroll tax exemptions are applicable in the following States WA, QLD and NSW.

Successful completion of this Cert III qualification will also entitle the technician to apply to the STC program for Level 1 - Certified Security Technician
without the need to do additional training.

Pre-requisites

The following prerequisites apply to be eligible for the traineeship funding:

1. Technician must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand passport holder. Therefore technicians holding 417 or 457 visas are not eligible.
2. Technicians must be in either full time employment or work part time for a nominal 21 hours per week.
3. Apprentice electricians are unable to access the funding until they have completed their apprenticeship. Upon completion they can apply to register for the traineeship and receive the funding.
4. To be eligible for the funding the technician must be an employee of the company and not registered with ASIC as a director of that company.

With Debit Success the cost is           $5867.68    Total charges $267.68
Duration 24 monthly installments of  $  244.07    Plus a once off payment of a $10 establishment fee

You can apply for the easy payment option once you have submitted your enrolment form
If your application for the easy payment plan is for any reason declined you have the option 
to cancel the course without incuring any fees.
