Course Outline

This course teaches the participant’s skills and knowledge required to work safely at heights in the Telecommunications, Resources, and Infrastructure Industries. This course it appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform work at heights.The core components this course covers include identifying work requirements, identifying instructions and procedures for undertaking the task, accessing and installing equipment safely, performing the work at heights, and cleaning up the work area.

Course Content

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Items to bring:

• Safety footwear with defined heel (Safety volleys or runners are not acceptable)
• Long sleeved high visibility shirts and work pants

 
If you have the following equipment, please bring it to the workshop:

• Safety helmet and gloves AS/NZS 2161.3-EN388
• Retroreflective safety vest
• Full Safety Harness AS1891.1
• Safety rope AS1891.4
• Slings (Stamped WLL or SWL)
• Tether plates and T Bar
• Impact drill
• PPE and equipment register.
