Student Enrolment Policy

Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to inform Comtech Staff of their responsibilities and requirements in regard to student enrolment procedures.

Student Support Policy

Purpose
To ensure that all Comtech staff are aware and adhere to the Company Student Support policies so as to identify where a student may require additional support.

Further that all students are aware at all times of the supports available to them so as to guarantee Comtech continues to provide the highest level of training and support for Comtech students.

Student Eligibility Policy

Purpose
Comtech is obliged to ensure that all students, in advance of commencement, must be fully aware of each aspect of their training course and the basic skills and competencies required to complete the Course.

Fees, Charges and Refund Policy

Purpose
To provide for appropriate handling of client payments in an appropriate manner and timeframe.

Consumer Protection, Complaints and Appeals Policy

Purpose
This policy is based on providing and maintaining training services that are fair and reasonable and afford a forum where issues or inadequacies can be resolved.

This process provides opportunity for complaints and appeals to be forwarded to the Consumer Protection Officer in a timely and confidential manner.

Recognition of Prior Learning Policy

Purpose
This policy is to ensure that a student’s prior learning achieved through formal and informal training, work experience or other life experiences and previously attained Units of Competency are appropriately and compliantly recognised.

Access & Equity Policy

Purpose
This Access and Equity Policy is based on providing and maintaining a work and training environment, that reflects fair and ethical company policies to all staff and students, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender or physical disability.

Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) Policy

Purpose
The purpose of this policy and related procedure is to establish guidelines to identify students in need of support for their basic skills in English language, literacy and numeracy (LLN), and also for the provision of these support services to students to enable them to participate effectively in Comtech Training vocational courses.

Smart and Skilled Consumer Protection Strategy

All Smart and Skilled students and potential students have the right to expect that the training that they receive is consistent with the national VET regulator’s requirements and the requirements of the Smart and Skilled contract.

Smart and Skilled Fee Administration Policy

This policy sets out the requirements for the application and management of student fees.
