This training course forms part of the Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology ICT30519 .This course is designed to provide participants with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge
required to install, terminate, and maintain external fibre optic cables in various environments,
including telecommunications, data centres, and industrial settings. The course focuses on the
standards and practices needed to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of fibre networks.

Who can study?
There are no entry requirements for this course, however Language, Literacy & Numeracy Assessments will be undertaken upon commencement to determine if any additional support strategies are required.There are no pre-requisites to attend the course, but it is recommended that a student has completed the Open Registration and Cabling Endorsements courses before attending.

Course Units
- ICTTEN318 Inspect, clean and handle optical fibre cable and connectors
- ICTCBL330 Splice and terminate optical fibre cable for telecommunications projects
- ICTBWN307 Use optical measuring instruments.
Course Outcome
Upon successful completion, students will be provided with a Statement of Attainment for the three units of competency listed. The three units of competency can also be credit transferred towards ICT30519 Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology.Introduction:
